When deciding to discover a new destination with children, one of the main points to take into consideration is of course the flight time and the time difference. To reach Dubai from our country, count a few hours of flight. A rather short travel time which makes it largely bearable by even the youngest children. On arrival, a time difference of two to three hours, no more, depending on the season. Allow two hours of time difference from the end of March to the end of October and three hours from the end of October to the end of March. This allows Dubai to be a totally feasible destination even on a short stay as you may be planning for the next vacation.
Dubai has this ability to seduce the youngest like their parents.
On the children’s side, there is no shortage of activities:
– the water parks with the two most famous of them: that of the Atlantis Hotel as well as the Wild Wadi Waterpark
– the Kidzania concept at the Dubai Mall. A huge play area where children can take turns being a firefighter, an airline pilot or a letter carrier. Nearly eighty role-playing games are available at the time, here they are the adults and this space is entirely dedicated to them.
– the Lego Land Dubai park, a park dedicated to the famous little building bricks and which needs no introduction.
For young and old, the Dubai Mall remains an obligatory point of passage. First for its gigantism, its excessiveness and its totally crazy surface area (800,000 square meters). But also for its ice rink, its aquarium, its fountains and of course for its breathtaking view of the tallest tower in the world, the Burj Khalifa.
Don’t miss, every evening, and every thirty minutes, the fabulous show that takes place at the foot of this immense futuristic tower. A show worthy of that of the Bellagio in Las Vegas where water, sound and light become one. It’s really beautiful!

To live a unique experience in the desert
Going to discover Dubai in the middle of August, we feared that this type of excursion would not be maintained given the climate at this time and the heat. Luckily, we were able to realize this dream perfectly and spent almost six hours a few kilometers from the city, in the middle of the desert. On the program: 4X4 in the dunes, observation of oryx or gazelles (we had the great luck to see both), photo breaks in front of a sumptuous sunset, then dinner under the stars.
For its climate
In Dubai, heat and sun are guaranteed all year round. You followed it on my social networks, we had the madness to go there in the middle of August. Finally madness… Not so much. Because if it was really hot, very hot even, we found it really bearable. It must be said that after the Californian desert, we were a bit used to temperatures around forty-five degrees…
