What to expect with FUE?

When hair loss or thinning on the top of your head really concerns you, having fue toronto  done might help you feel better about your appearance. Prior to undergoing surgery, however, be sure to discuss your expectations with your surgeon.

What Is a Hair Transplant?

It’s a form of cosmetic surgery in which existing hair is moved to fill up sparse or non-existent patches of skin. This procedure has been around since the 1950s, although the methods used have evolved significantly in recent years.

A doctor’s office is often where you get the operation done. To begin, the surgeon performs a scalp cleansing and injects a local anesthetic into the back of your skull to numb the area. A follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) or a follicular unit extraction will be used by your doctor to do the transplant (FUE).

The surgeon’s staff will shave the back of your scalp if you’re having FUE done. Hair follicles are removed one by one by the doctor after that. Small specks of healing will be covered by your hair while the region heals.

After this point, the two treatments are nearly identical in every way. A scalpel or needle is used to make holes in the region where the hair will be transplanted, and each graft is gently placed in one of the holes. Planting the grafts will likely be assisted by other members of the team as well. The transplantation procedure might take anywhere from four to eight hours, depending on the size of the organ being replaced. If you continue to lose hair or decide that you desire thicker hair, you may require a second operation.

Immediately following the procedure, your scalp may be quite sensitive. For a few days, you may need to take painkillers. Bandages will be applied to your scalp for at least a few days by your doctor. You could also be given a prescription for an antibiotic or an anti-inflammatory medication to be taken over a period of time. Within two to five days of surgery, the majority of patients are able to return to their jobs.

The transplanted hair will fall out in the first two to three weeks following surgery, but new hair will begin to grow within a few months of the procedure. After six to nine months, most people should expect to see 60% of their new hair growth.
