Consistently Washing My Face Keeps My Skin Glowing
I’ve been using the same skincare routine for over a year now and it has worked absolute wonders for my skin! I always wash my face every night and every morning before I put on my makeup! This year, I stayed consistent with that routine, and it’s made a big difference in the appearance of my skin! Every time I wash my face, I look so different; I don’t know how to explain it! Everything just seems brighter, and my skin tone looks perfect!
Step One: I start by wetting my face with warm water, in the shower, and applying the cleanser that I have. I gently rub the cleanser all over my face and then rinse it off. I always follow up with a toner, to get any dirt and makeup off and make sure that I am ready for the next step of my morning skincare routine!
Step Two: After rinsing off the cleanser and toning my skin, I use an exfoliator to clean out any dead skin cells that are left over from the previous day. I usually use it once a week and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and refreshed! After that, I use the moisturizer that I have been prescribed by my derm for my skin type. I make sure that it’s applied evenly all over my face and then gently massage it into my skin to make it really smooth. Then, I put on some eye cream and lip balm, and I am ready to start my day!
Skincare is Nothing without Facial Rejuvenation
Since my skin is so sensitive, I was very cautious about trying new things on my skin. But one day, I got a little brave and started trying an anti-wrinkle serum. To be fair, I was a little skeptical at first, but I tried it and I was pleasantly surprised by the results! The fine lines around my eyes started disappearing right away and the wrinkles on my forehead were starting to fade as well! Now, I am never without this miracle serum, and I don’t even notice it when I put it on in the morning!
Another thing I’m trying, before the year is up, is a mini facelift. It also falls under facial rejuvenation, but it has a way more noticeable effect on your skin and wrinkles than serums do. It’s a procedure that’s becoming increasingly popular and can smooth out wrinkles and improve sagginess in the skin, so I’m excited to give it a try myself!
Hydration is Key
Keeping my skin hydrated is one of the key things for maintaining healthy skin and using it consistently has made a huge difference for me! I make sure to drink lots of water throughout the day and use a good moisturizer to keep my skin youthful and shining! (Bonus points if you make your own moisturizer using ingredients like olive oil and honey!)
Sunscreen is Often Taken for Granted
Being out in the sun provides the body with useful vitamins, like Vitamin D, and helps promote healthy hair and skin. However, prolonged exposure to the sun can cause damage to both the skin and the overall health of the body. It’s important to strike a perfect balance, between being outside too long or not enough. One very important way I keep my skin looking young and healthy is to always apply sunscreen when I go outside. That may seem obvious, but too many people forget to do it and end up spending years in the sun without protection. Don’t let that happen to you! Even when it’s cloudy or rainy, put some sunblock on, to ensure optimal skin health!
Vitamins for Vibrancy
You can also keep your skin looking bright by incorporating various vitamins and minerals into your diet. Biotin and Vitamin C are great choices for this purpose. Consuming adequate amounts of these nutrients will go a long way towards improving the health of your skin and promoting a youthful, vibrant appearance. Of course, the best way to benefit your skin is by eating a balanced diet that contains plenty of fruits and vegetables. By doing this, you’ll be providing your body with the vital nourishment it needs to stay healthy and beautiful for years to come!
